The After-School Program
exists to create space and time for teens
to build safe and healthy relationships with mentors and teens,
discover who they are,
and grow in leadership development, self care,
relational health, life skills, and more.
DAILY PROGRAMMING
Our regular After School Programming Days are Mondays and Wednesdays and broken down into three distinct sections.
1. STUDY HALL
3:00-3:45pm
During Study Hall we provide a quiet environment, homework assistance, computers, and other resources to support our teens with their school work. Although academics is not our focus, we want to make sure that our teens have this opportunity to keep up with their academic responsibilities.
We do not currently provide specialized tutors, but we do provide mentors that offer helping hands.
2. AGORA HOUR
3:45-4:30 pm
AGORA was a Greek term used to identify a prominent place for people to gather for matters of importance in Greek and Roman societies.
During our AGORA HOUR, we aim to recreate this same spirit. All homework is set aside and teens and mentors are brought together around a rotation of themed activities and discussions.

3. FLEX TIME
4:30-5:00 pm
During Flex Time, a space is designated for continued studying, but other space is opened up for our teens to engage socially with mentors and other teens. Our mentors are equipped to safely develop relationships with teens that allow them to speak into the lives of our youth. Activities such as playing board games or foosball become a platform for our mentors to build trust, share life experiences, and daily provide guidance to teens.
